This approximately 46.28 square meter micro-residence is centered on the concept of "multi-functionality and softened boundaries." By restructuring the layout and circulation, the design breaks away from conventional room divisions to create a flexible, ritualistic living environment. A key innovation lies in the transitions and blurred boundaries between zones, using concealed doors and shifting volumes to distinguish between living and working, resting and displaying. Curved elements are integrated throughout, from ceiling to cabinetry to cat platforms, to soften sharp corners, enhance visual continuity, and increase comfort. Functionally, raised platforms introduce diverse uses, accommodating hosting, worship, yoga, and cat activity. Hidden storage and double-layer cabinetry improve practicality and safety. Environmentally, the design uses natural paints, low-processed wood veneers, and stone-textured finishes to reduce resource waste. The open layout and natural lighting help minimize dependence on artificial lighting and air conditioning. Through soft spatial integration and thoughtful material selection, the project demonstrates how sustainable living can flourish in a compact footprint.
